Also known as Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion after the original owner Cheong Fatt Tze, who was a Chinese trader. The mansion reflects the best of Imperial China’s architecture. This building was purchased from Cheong’s family members and saved from demolition. Today, it’s a mix of museum and hotel and one of the main attractions of Georgetown.
Lenggong Valley
Southeast Asia’s most well-preserved and complete skeleton of the prehistoric man were found in Lenggong Valley. ‘Perak Man’, whose remains are said to be 10,000 to 11,000 years old was found here in great condition. Archaeologists even found tools that are estimated to be 1.8 million years old. The Lenggong Valley, one of the best world heritage sites in Malaysia, is well preserved and has a magical, ethereal feel to it because of the palm tree forests and foggy mountains.
